Still have not seen the car moved from the owner's driveway.

Maybe he is saving money to get the car registered and insured??

It is kind of discouraging for me to get the car all fixed and then see it just sit.

I will give the owner a call tomorrow to see what's up.

I did test drive the car (drove it for 15 miles) and it runs great.

I would buy it (for the right price) off the owner - if he put it up for sale.

I stopped by the owner's house and showed him the 1995 that I am working on.

He has a friend who has crashed a 1997 and may want to sell it cheap.

May be another project car.

Looks like another rebuilder - a 1995 with a totalled front end.

Only has 119K and engine/tranny work fine.

Should I do it??

Needs the usual - hood, fender, bumper, lights, grille, tie rod, drive shaft, radiator, A/C condenser, etc.

Also needs both airbags replaced.

Owner loves the car and plans on fixing and keeping it forever.

Is it worth it??

Bikeman982

I will go by tomorrow and take some pictures.

Ironically, the car is exactly the same color as the 1994 that I drive everyday.

Should I just buy new parts for my car and give the 1995 my old ones - what a great idea!!

if you can get the airbags for cheap then yes, those may be expensive or hard to find.

Are airbags hard to change??

I have never dealt with them - I usually try to avoid for fear of accidental activation.

Do they just plug in, or are they also bolted in??

Ever change any??

Check out the link on the previous post.

It has new pictures posted of a 1995 Corolla with even worse front end damage that I am repairing.

I see the 1997 that I have repaired being driven around everyday.

The owner lives in my neighborhood and the car looks and runs great.

The repair obviously worked.
