Correct on all counts. This week, I did not have the time whatsoever. However, I'm taking a 1,000 mile round trip over Easter weekend to visit family in NY, and since I was already significantly overdue for an oil & filter change, I wanted to get it done ASAP. Otherwise, I would have taken a half a day to drive to the Andrews AFB, MD Auto Hobby Shop to do the job, since the Dover AFB shop is closed on Sundays and Mondays -- which are my days off, BTW!
The only reason why I like to do the job myself is so that the job is being done by a mature, intelligent, college graduate instead of some illiterate high-school dropout with long hair, tatoos and drugs habit. I guess this time I had to turn a blind eye to that, but, fortunately, the people I saw at Wal*Mart seemed OK. They did a good, quick job, left my car clean, and the price was worth it considering the convenience. I'll use them again if I have to in the future.
