Corolland: the Toyota Corolla site

Launched in 1966, the Toyota Corolla became Japan’s best selling car in 1969, and stayed #1 until 2001. With over 30 million cars sold in 140 countries through 2011, the Corolla is the world’s best-selling car — ever. The current Corolla appears to have more of what made the car so popular, with a new engine and chassis.

The current 2021 Toyota Corolla has, with TNGA, returned to peppy acceleration, fine fuel economy, agile handling, and a smooth, comfortable ride. So far there is no word on the 2022 Corollas, but they are unlikely to change much (though the Civic enters a new generation for 2022, no powertrain information is available on it yet.)
