Toyota and accessory-supplier Yakima have united to allow for dealer-installed, dealer-financed accessories, such as bike and boat carriers, cargo boxes, and roof-racks.
Last year, Chrysler’s in-house aftermarket supplier, Mopar (which is similar in many ways to TRD), started a similar program, but they installed aftermarket gear in the factory. The Toyota plan is a little more modest but more flexible, and still allows buyers of new vehicles to add the aftermarket gear to their financing deal. (Via Automotive News)
