Three weeks ago, I had new rotors and pads installed on the front of my 2002 Corolla. OEM I believe calls for ceramic pads. Raybestos ceramic pads were installed. Impressed so far, except when I stop (I've been gentle during the break-in period) the brakes squeak a little just before coming to a complete stop. Is this normal?
Yes... It'll tend to lightly squeal momentarily under moderate braking, as we repeatedly brake at the same rate, stop after stop. Some pads' compound will tend to squeal more than others, but it's nothing to worry about.
