Can you turn off the headlights during the day or do they have to run all the time.
The 8th gen had built-in DRLs - head lamps will be on when the car is in gear. Only way to turn them off is to do a DRL disable mod - depending on how you do it, it may or may not disable the Twilight Sentinel feature (automatic lights when it is dark out). Lots of DIY guide out on the net - just search for DRL disable.
