Is it relatively straightforward to swap out an A131L 3 speed for the A245 4 speed on a 1998 Corolla VE? It looks like there's an extra electrical connector on the right corner next to the shift indicator box. Are the vehicle harnesses common? Can the engine/trans harness be easily swapped? Do the ECU's have to be swapped also? Are the axles the same for both? Is the shifter mechanism, cables, bezel etc same? Is the instrument cluster common? We are considering the swap because 98-99 A131Ls are apparently super rare.
