Want To Add Cruise Control For 2005 Ce

I just bought a 2005 CE, no options. I would really like to add a cruise control.

 

Haven't found any kits. Since it has electric throttle will it be an easy thing?

All the kits I know of, or have ever seen, require traditional mechanical throttles.

Unfortunately, you may be out of luck.

Dont know about your vintage Corolla,

but on the current Tacoma's most of the cruise is already wired in.

so, by getting a few parts from the dealer, its an eady add on.

its a popular diy upgrade for those who did not get it from the factory.

might try some of the other forums to see if its available.

or fish may tell us its not =p

2005 are drive by wire. if you have an auto transmission you just have to plug in the cruise control stalk. a third party will sell this for around $45. if you are manual stick driver you need to spend a few extra bucks for the switch for the clutch pedal.
