8th Gen Spring Insulator

By twinky64, September 12, 2008

Does anybody know where I can find some spring insulators for my 98 corolla?

- Try Dealership first - see what they have and how much it is.

- Next try the strut manufacturer for the isolator - sometimes they will just send them to you for no charge or a nominal charge. They may recommend a retailer that would carry one that might fit. An online retailer like Tirerack - will probably only carry the boot and upper strut mount, but no isolators. Can't hurt to ask.

Shockwarehouse lists one made by Monroe - looks like a universal one - http://www.shockwarehouse.com/site/product...-Toyota-Corolla. Can't comment on the site, as I have never used them before.

- Get a custom made one - something like these:

Are the dimensions for the front and rears the same?

They will be close, but unfortunantly they are slightly different. I forget which one was bigger - but there was definitely a difference in overall spring diameter.
