1989 Water Pump Replacement

by Stanman, June 11, 2007 in Pre-1997 Toyota Corolla and Geo Prizm

How hard is it to replace 1989 corolla water pump? It does not look too hard if you do not replace housing.

Is it straightforward like it looks or is there some tricks or something weird about it.

Anybody have an idea how much labor charge is for replacement?

Here are the steps - DIY guide on Autozone.

Something that is well in reach of your regular DIY person, but labor intensive - if you took it in, they could easily charge you about $200+ just labor to do it.

Thanks for the info fishexpo101. It looks like a pain in the but.

I guess I will have to get it done at a garage and it will cost me

a bunch.
