5000 is recommended by dealership....along with all the later changes
1000 was recommended by my dad....
I will pry be shooting for 3000-4000 or so. On my first chagne
Maybe 20 years ago - 1000 mile oil change or sooner was preferred. But the tolerances and build quality are so tight now, it is no longer necessary. Follow regular change interval 3K or 5K is the usual.
