Light in Rear Spoiler

Guest dcurry07

I need to replace the "third" light in the rear spoiler but am having one heck of a time with it. I have the bent philips head screw driver, but there are six screws that are practically impossible to get to.

I've opened the trunk and see three screws that appear to connect the spoiler to the trunk lid. I wonder if that is the route that I should take - to remove the spoiler from the trunk, making it easier to get to the screws holding the light in.

Thanks

You can remove the spoiler to get easier access to the screws on the bottom there - but remember that there might be some wiring up through the braces of the trunk through to the pedastal of the spoiler.

If there is not enough slack - you may inadvertantly rip some of the wiring out or cause it short somewhere. Then there is the gasket that spoiler sits on - that you have to reposistion correctly afterwards.

Otherwise, anything that makes the job easier - I would go for it. just take a peek before you you unbolt it.

Good Luck.
