Toyota lending hybrid system to Subaru

Recommended Posts

Toyota, which owns a chunk of Subaru, is lending out its hybrid engine technology for the upcoming 2019 Crosstek Hybrid.  Subaru’s new crossover will use the company’s usual direct-injection boxer engine and all wheel drive, with a new transmission and plug-in hybrid setup licensed from Toyota. The company has never done a hybrid before.
