Crankshaft Sprocket 1995 1.6 L

By coroman, January 27, 2012 in Pre-1997 Toyota Corolla and Geo Prizm

hello,

My crankshaft sprocket is stuck and i can not get it out. i try to spray as much penetrating oil but to no avail.According to haynes manual use 2 screwdrivers to pry but i do not see how to insert them. I also tried heat the sprocket with heat gun but no luck. Do you have any suggestions? if not i will try to bore 2 holes and insert bolts on the front surface so i could use a puller. I am not sure if that metal can be drilled.

thanks in advance to any help.

drilling was next to impossible. Prying and hammering it to loosen did not work. 3 jaw puller will not fit. But the 2 jaw puller valve spring compressor and removing the middle part works good and was able to do it in 2 minutes.
