Could be a number of things - could be out of refrigerant, A/C compressor is not running correctly, switch inside is faulty (A/C not really running), etc.
Have the pressure tested or look at the sight-glass on the receiver/drier that is right next to the condensor (look for the aluminum canister with a little glass window on top of it, next to the radiator). When the A/C is running, there should be little to no bubbles running past the window. If there is a lot of bubbles or what appears to be no bubbles/activity (system is completely out of refrigerant) - then you will need a recharge. Don't be tempted to refill the system yourself - sure it will work in the short time, but you run the risk of more damage if you don't do it right. The refrigerant doesn't wear out or leak on its own - this means that there is a leak somewhere in the system that needs to be addressed first before you refill the system. Otherwise, the refrigerant will just run out of the system over time and you'll have to recharge it. Could be something simple - personally I wouldn't try and guess at it, have a HVAC specialist check the system out and see what they find out.
