hey i was woundering if i can put a Instrument Cluster with tachometer in my 1999 corolla that doesn't have one? the one i have now doesn't have rpm and i want one with rpm. so im gonna put in a corolla s cluster in. will it work or will it not? what do i have to do? do i just plug and play or what? help please thanks

Lol, this topic has been discussed about 20 times. Just do a search for "tachometer" in this forum. Yes you can swap it. Tachometer is just something for personal preference to watch the engine speed, so many times cheaper Corollas don't have it.

Buy an instrument cluster for your car that has the tach on it.

Take out your cluster, put in the one you bought.

Remember to swap your old speedo over or your odometer will not read right.

Unless you have less miles on the new odometer and want to keep it.

In Ca if the car is older than ten years old, nobody cares what the odometer says, and if it is less than ten years old, it just have to be declared on the registration. I turned a 1994 back to zero and sold it that way. I did tell the prospective buyer it had over 231,000 on the car and only 70,000 on the engine I installed.
