Hey Guys-

I have an 04 Corolla LE with 20k miles. Sometimes when i apply the brakes, it makes a clunking sound and i can feel it through the brake pedal. (not ABS pulsation) It doesnt sound or feel like the light scraping you hear if your rotors get a light coat of surface rust after sitting for a few days. The clunking happens most often when the brakes are applied for the first time that day, but has been known to happen after a period of driving as well. I have noticed this since the car had about 5k miles on it.

Has anyone had a similar experience on a newer generation corolla?

So clunking brakes and vibrations are normal on the newer Corollas? I think I will stick to the 7th generation for a while. No clunks on the brakes and little vibrations.
