My Toyota 2003 Scheduled Maintenance Guide does not show to change the transmission fluid at 30K, only to inspect it, does
anybody think this may be a misprint in the guide? My guide shows to change the transmission fluid at 60K, any thoughts on
this?
Depends on how you drive the car.
For some 60K is just fine. Others that tow, drive in gridlocked traffic, or high speed/loads - might want to go with a 30K or sooner.
That is why they suggest an inspection - fluid might be perfectly fine at 30K - or it could be totally cooked. An inspection does not mean that you should not change it - just change if needed.
