Hi, my names Martin, and i own a '93 corolla 1.6 sedan. I've just put a performance airfilter on it, and i saw your section on covering the manifold in exhaust wrap. I wanted to wrap my manifold with exhaust wrap so that my filter would recieve cooler air, but i couln't get the manifold heat shield off, and there was no way of wrapping it around each branch of the manifold so i wrapped it right around the heatshield aswell and i noticed that my engine was running hotter and the oil turned black quicker. Is this because i wrapped it around the heatshield aswell? Should i remove the heat shield completely and just wrap the exhaust wrap around each branch properly and down to the cat? Any advice would be helpful. Also, i'm taking my cat off and putting a stainless cat back exhaust on, how much power will i gain? Also, where do u buy super chips from for this model? Any other tips on tweaking a 93 1.6 AE101?
