The better half's '98 LE has now logged 159K, guys at Firest*ne said the inner tie rods are shot and want $350 to fix.
As new inneys come with a new rack-&-pinion I'm thinking about replacing the whole thing, big box stores want around $200 less core fee. Never replaced one before and not sure what I'm getting myself into here. Doing just the inneys looks simple enough and the parts about $150, might get new outies while I'm at it.
Thanks in advance. Tips, short cuts, any advice welcome.
