Hi All! I'm trying to figure out how to remove the rear bumper on a 2001 Corolla. My girlfriend backed the corner of the car into a wall and it dented in. I'm just trying to see if I can push the dent back out, but I need to get to the inside of the bumper to do so. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Look up underneath the bumper - you should see the bolts that hold the bumper cover onto the unitbody/frame rail. There are bolts and clips right by the fender liner that hold the front part of the cover onto the car. If you're lucky - you can pound out most of the dent and use some body filler for the rest - could have smashed the styrofoam energy absorber and bumper reinforcment bar.

Good Luck.

thanks, fishexpo101!!! Will give this a try tonight. The bumper doesn't look very scratched... but kinda dented.

BTW, just in case I start yanking at the bumper before all the bolts are off, do you know how many bolts I remove from underneath, and how many from the fender side where the clip is?

Thanks again!
