Odometer Question

by Dan{T.O.O}, March 25, 2014

Dan{T.O.O}

I have a 2003 ce with 290.000 klms. I heard and read that the odometer stops working at 299.000 klms and you have to take it to the dealer to have it reset to 0. Then they put a sticker on the side of door stating it was reset at 299.000 klms.. Has anyone experienced that issue.I heard that you where still responsible to pay for this faulty gauge. about $200 thanks

They can't reset it... You can ask your Toyota dealer if they will cover the cost, as some have before You might have to get a used one with low mileage, or just refer to your Trip B meter after resetting it to zero as you reach 299,999.
