Prices are about ballpark for that sort of build, if the total labor for the build up includes maching - $1750 is actually a pretty good price. You have a lot of internal parts that take time to install - you are talking a significant amount of labor hours there. As for the parts you have listed - pretty decent prices on them as well.

For this sort of a build, I wouldn't necessarily go by price, I'd go by the reputation of the shop that you dropped the car off at. If the shop generally caters only to Subarus, Mitsubishi, Nissan - and you just dropped off a Toyota - might make me a bit wary. Having a shop that has several Toyota builds under its belt and with owner verified reviews can be paramount for a good build.

Are they guaranteeing the work? Did you get competative bids at other tuner shops? DId they give you an estimate on number of hours for the build? Put it this way - to assemble a car from scratch - takes Toyota about 30 hours. That's with no fabrication or machine - just bolting parts together. If the shop says they can slap this together in less than 10-12 hours - either they are that "good", unlikely, or don't have a good understanding on working on a Toyota. These cars are completely different beasts compared to the other imports. The VVT-i itself can be a considerable headache, especially with the cam swap, unless you plan on having them disable VVT-i functionality.

how much overlap does that cam setup create? You want 0 to no overlap with a forced induction setup. Are you keeping the stock heads? i would swap heads from a 1zz-fe. Higher static compression might give you problems down the road.
