2007 Corolla Brake Problem

By GeoK, October 9, 2012

Recently bought a 2007 Corolla. After a month the rear brakes squeal. Had them cleaned/adjusted. Resurfaced rotor. Replaced hardware? for shoes.. Squeal keeps coming back after a day of drivin. Two mechanics both tell me shoes and rotors are ok and do not need to be replaced. Any suggestions?

You've run over a pig?

(Sorry, but I just couldn't resist telling an old Paul Lynde Hollywood Squares joke:)

Short squeak? Long squeak? Variable pitch squeak, or monotone? All the time, whether going uphill, downhill, around a corner, or just sometimes backing up, going forward?

It happens giing forward only. High pitched . Long squeal.

One moe thing. Gets worse the longer i drive.

I had issues using aftermarket front disk pads with OEM rotors. Squealed like a city bus and these were good quality pads on resurfaced rotors.

OEM pads took the squeal away.
