They have different part numbers - but the center bolt is the same. They do have a little different shape - I know that the steering wheel in my 2003 Matrix was different than the one in my 2002 Corolla - but you'd have to hold them side by side. I know people have swapped Celica steering wheels into 9th gen Corollas, and I know that Celica steering wheels will fit an 8th gen Corolla - so I don't see why the 8th and 9th gen wheels could not be interchanged.
