She has tried installing three CD players in her Suzuki and shorted them out three times. That short burns out the AM/FM stereo portions of the player.

Now she successfully installed a cassette player with AM/FM.

At least she can play my tapes (I have over 300 Cassettes)!

sounds like she's not wiring it up correctly or they're really cheap decks. is she using the metra wiring harness and using the correct one? might be worth your and hers money to let an audio shop be the one blowing up radios trying to make it work.

She was not connecting it correctly - grounding out a wire.

I showed her how to do it right, but that was after she had already burnt out the third CD player.

Now she is afraid to take it back (since the malfunction was caused by her and it is the third time).

If she puts in another CD player, either I will install it, or a stereo shop will, just to be safe.

At least she has radio and cassette tapes now.

My daughter has been driving the Suzuki.

I think the tranny shop must have caused a leak, because there is always a puddle of fluid under her car.

I will have to check it out.

She says the transmission shifts, but second gear grinds a little.

I have not tried it.

Apparantly the third clutch is working better than the first two.

More to follow.

My daughter is still driving the Suzuki, and although the shifting is not great, it still is working.

We will see how long it lasts.
