2003 Corolla Oxygen Sensor

by Steve101, April 3, 2008

I have an 03 Corolla S. 1.8lt, 5 speed.

I am getting ready to change my factory o2 sensors and already have the new Denso sensors on order.

I need to know their torque specs.

Also I need to remove the exhaust manifold heat shield to get to the 1 before the cat.

Can you tell me what the torque specs of the exhaust manifold heat shield is?

Thanks a lot & have a great day!!

Hello and welcome to the forum.

The Toyota FSM indicates the ratings of the O2 sensors at 33 ft.lbs and the bolts for the exhaust manifold heat insulator at 13 ft.lbs Hope that helps. Good Luck.

Fish,

I will be replacing my downstream o2 sensor on a 2002. Is that also. 33 pounds?

Is there a website out there that just finds torque specs for cars? I cannot find one.

Should be able to look that up on the Autozone DIY guides - they look like scans from a Chilton's manual. As for the torque specs - unfortunately, I don't know off the top of my head. Might be in an older post in this forum somewhere.
