Has anyone else had their car or truck fixed by the TSB telling people that bad catalytic converters and ECM's on several Toyota's may be the cause of the stink coming from their Toyota's?

Yes, Fred Anderson Toyota did mine a few weeks ago.

No SBD farts yet, but winter was usually the time for them.

Ya, I had one done at a local dealership. It was botched. No cat replaced and no sticker on the hood with the details of ECU reflash (as required by EPA and stipulated in the TSA). I acctually have some doubts whether they did a thing at all. No change in handling nor MPG diffrence (I was hoping for some increase). I was acctually going to complain but with the hurricane and other stuff just did not have time. One thing, no smell that I can detect now. Maybe the gas in the area was converted to low-sulfur? Who knows.

I tried to get it done. Toyota Canada is refusing to do the work unless the car engine light comes off. Only in the U.S.A. will Toyota honor its warranty. No reasonable explanations for this different treatment.

Toyota is going downhill...
