I used to be a big rebate junkie..then got tired of chasing fufillment companies for the check. You may want to go for it though. Can anyone comment on the rebates from Pep Boys? default_unsure

Don't know if this a national rebate or just local. Best to check your local store first or view weekly flyer in your zip code:

I used to have a Pep Boys store down the street from my house, but they closed up and are no longer there.

Thanks for the heads up NILLINOIS - same deal here in the DC Metro area. Link to PDF of all the current rebates they are running:

Also the same deal I used last time around to pick up some PP to try out on the Corolla. Quality oil at generic oil pricing. I've heard they switched from a Group IV to a Group III synthetic - hard to tell from online searches, anyone know off-hand? Could explain why it runs kind of weird in colder weather - not something I expected from a synthetic oil. Had problems with their conventional oils in the past - but gave them another chance when I heard they were made by someone else. We'll see how the UOA looks at 5K miles.

The rebate form says it applies to the entire (Continental) United States.

I read at BITOG forums that Checkers has them for $.99 after rebate..nice if you have one in your area AND they are still in stock. I believe the PP is a true Grp IV synth..and the Non Platinum Synth is cracked ( III ). Either way, a great deal on a good synth.

None in my area that I know of.
