Yours should have both front and rear sways unless someone took them off.

Only the 1998 models came without rear sways, usually base models, hard to say for sure since some dealerships installed them for safety reasons.

From 1999 on - all models got rear sways. All 8th gen Corollas (1998-2002) had front sways, regardless of trim level.

ok well does it look like i have one in those pictures it really doesnt so i was wondering y it doesnt have one

Hard to see the sways from the angle of your pics - wrong side - the sway bar is infront of the laternal links and rear subframe, runs above the gas tank.

I've circled the sway bar in red in one of your pics

You should see a drop link from the strut to the rear swaybar - if you jack the car up from the rear or lifting it from the side.

ok that makes sense ill take see if i can see it did u do anything to the suspension on urs like a sway bar or strut bar

also what are u getting for mileage im not getting crap like 27 28mpg if im lucky using 87 octane idk wtf is up with it

I kept the OEM sways - but I did upgrade to TRD springs and KYB GR2 struts (rides liek OEM, the struts are one step up from OEM).

know anyone who has put aftermarket stuff on?

also i was looking at ur pictures that picture of a sway bar is that for ur car

I know several that have installed the Hotchkis aftermarket sways for an 8th gen Corolla - pretty decent project for the money invested. Not a simple job, but can be done with some help (have to drop the tank a bit, some of the bolts can be tough to break free - air tools can help).

As for the pics on the photobucket link - those are your pics edited with a red circle around the sway. I didn't have any with my own car.

Here is a link to Vamp's car - shows one of the most common issue that most will run into when thinking about adding an aftermarket sway - dealing with a stuck endlink

Most just end up buying new endlinks and hardware when they do upgrade the OEM setup.
