Anybody Want A Google Mail Invite?

Google mail is still technically in beta, but I've been using it for a year and think its awesome. Over 2 gig of space, ZERO banner ads, and lots of notification tools like systray notifier, to show you when you have new email ( like yahoo messenger ). PM me your email addy, and I will send you an invite.

If you want to sign up now without an invite, you have to give them a mobile phone # which supports Text messages. They send you a code, and then you can sign up yourself. I don't know what they plan on doing with your mobile number..hmmm...

No benefit to me. Just out of the kindness of my heart.

If you don't have a cell, you either have to wait until gmail comes out of beta, or get an invite from someone.

There is also a explorer shell extension for gmail. Its basically a plug-in that will make your gmail account act as a virtual disk drive...offsite of course. You can copy/move/delete files to and from it, and it all happens magically in the background..acting as another 2 gig disk drive. Nice for offsite backups. Free of course.

BTW, I don't think the virtual file system uses SSL, so you'd have to encrypt your own sensitive data before putting it into your gmail drive.
